In 2015 I began working for a company called Hippo Education LLC that produces world class medical education in both audio and video forms. I started as a contract editor and worked my way up to a Lead Sound Designer position. I mainly worked on Urgent Care: Reviews and Perspectives, but have worked on parts of almost every digital product that had an audio component to them.
This has been an incredibly rewarding job and experience and I have met amazing physicians and healthcare providers. I have had the unique opportunity to tell their stories and help deliver solid lectures and roundtable discussions that have gone out to many practicing doctors, PAs, and NPs.
A story I worked to put together with Dr. Mizuho Spangler about patient experience. This is part one of a three part segment. A great experience planning out the story and dialog interjections to really drive home how patients see providers.
All rights to the segment belong to Hippo Education LLC and for more information you can go (here).
A series of skits and bumpers I created to go into various podcasts for Hippo Education LLC.:
Above is an example of cleaning up problematic audio. There can often be some heavy plosives when recording audio for podcasts. With certain programs they can be easily cleaned up if you know what you are looking for. You can see the difference in the wave forms where the heavy plosives were fixed. It creates a much better experience for the listeners.
